Froyo and exchange server

Can anyone let me know if they have had success using MS exchange after the 2.2 update? I need to know if email, contacts, and calendar sync properly before I do the update. I am on the stock 2.1 rom and everything syncs fine.

Re: Froyo and exchange server

yes of course. i had no issues prior and have no issues post update.

matter of fact the IT dept can now remotely wipe my EVO should the need arise as well as alphanumeric passwords... one of the enhanced features now available..

the Evo i use runs on EAS 2003 SP2 so YMMV if you use other servers and also depends on what your IT dept has setup for its android clients...

Re: Froyo and exchange server

Thanks Marc and Big for the quick reply, I have read on other sites that there were some bugs with 2.2 and exchange. Most problems were with the calendar and I rely on this with work.

I am a new to android and was so impressed when my Evo sync'ed with work (exchange07) much easier and smother than my TP2! Go figure..

Just needed to be sure before I upgrade, thanks.

Re: Froyo and exchange server

If you are having problems with the built in exchange support you could use touchdown exchange it works with 2.2 with no problems. I have used the built in and it worked fine however it was lacking for me coming from wimo and other features that I am not going to get into I have been using touchdown for awhile and its works better then built in. It could also use some tweaking and tuning but it works better just go to market download and try for free make sure you download ver for android 2.0 and above
