update on rooting

There are tons of rooted froyo rome in the evo 4g upgrades section......is that what you are asking?

i rooted my phone back in june and was wondering is there a new update for that..not really familiar with rooting..so can i use froyo then?

So are you currently rooted or not? There is no root method as off yet for those who did the sprint froyo ota.however if you are rooted you can install any rooted froyo rom, check the upgrades sub forum.
