Data Speeds after Froyo?

Alright guys, i haven't the slightest idea what i did wrong, but i upgraded to 2.2 once the root odexed stock was available, and ever since then i have noticed a horrible drop in data speeds on my phone, as well as some other annoyances...

As for the speed tests, i used to average at about 700-1000kbps, but after the update i have not once passed 150 kbps, and i always stay at about 50-100 kbps.

the other issues include.... if the backlight turns off, and i then touch the screen, about 70% of the time, the backlight never turns back on as it's supposed to. Also, there are occasional screen lags i notice when just going through my homescreen and messages.... BUT This stuff doesn't really bother me as much as the Data issue... any advice?


could it be i just got a bad rom maybe? or just need to hard reset?

could it be i just got a bad rom maybe? or just need to hard reset?

did you wipe, data reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik before flashing the rom? then did you reboot the phone; power down; flash the radio. then reboot, power down, flash wimax?

if not, do it.

I used to average 1.8mbps and now I average 1.4mbps

I would average 800-900kbs. After the update to Froyo, I get maybe 150kps consistently. A few dropped calls are happening too. I did all the data clearing and radio/prl flashdance. Running Fresh's rom.

My 3g is ok..... 900/140 but you can see my 4g..... Great!!!!! Waiting for the 10mbps

Yeah i tried the whole Data wipe and reinstalled ROM and radios and all... i then ran a quick speed test and acheived a whooping 9 kbps!!
surprisingly enough my up speed was at 1406... go figure...

i tested again and results return to nothing over 100 haha, this has really got me stumped, and it's annoying cause it will now take ages to download/update my apps

try the a stock froyo 2.2 deoxed for root users rom

Was getting 5.75 mb/s as my maxbefore Froyo.....I hit 9.61 mb/s after

Speed didn't really change for me: 2~4Mb/s in Seattle/Redmond.

Hit over 7Mb/s in LAX (130ms ping) on a recent Socal trip.
