took the battery out, then held down the volume down/power button..........went from there. those buttons wouldn't work when it was stuck in the loop

HEY HERE I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM. MY phone reboot by itself then reboots again like 3 times on the 4g screen thngy then vibrate like 3 o 4 times n died.. the notification lite is blinking green. but my phone dead. nopt able to turn it on. i tried to reboot frm the bootloader screen but the same thng happens . any sugestions?

im rooted with unrevoked forever stock 2.2.. when i had 2.1 i wasnt havng that problem once i flash the 2.2 started the reboots while watchng flash videos. now happens like almost every time. in a call, call waitng. etc. n theres time that reboots 3 o 4 times while on the 4g screen n vibrate 3 times then dies. with the notification light blinking green... cant turn it on

When u got ur evo. Did it have 2.1 or 2.2? If it had 2.1 flash back to stock then update ur phone to 2.2. After that try rooting from there. I'm still new at this adroind stuff but ill try to help as much as i can.

WHEN I GOT IT IT WAS 2.1 everythng was good. then i did the update to 2.2 thats when start the problem. i root it with unrevoked forever hoping that mite help in certain way but nope i was wrong.. i update it with the 3.29 cuz i heard that fixes the reboots problem but it didnt fix anythng so yea i dnt wats wrong with ths phone.

Ok sense u have 2.2 search for toast 1 click root. It updates and unlocks. That's what i used when i rooted. Re download the Rom and try it again to make sure the file is not messed up. Download rom manager from the market. Make sure the rom is in the sdcard by its self and not in a flooder. Before u flash to the new rom make sure u hardrest wipe data and wipe cashed. Then flash. And to be on the safe side wipe again after u flash reboot and then u should be good to go.

My phone started doin this crap when I use to browse the net, then it got worse...I'm gettin a new phone today...Sure hate havin to root my phone all over again
