in call txt notifications on froyo with handcent
so with handcent in 2.1 it use to make a noise when I got a txt during a fone call but now it doesn't make any noise.... any fix for this??? or should i just chuck it up to handcent needs an update?

Yup in setting there is a notification on call option that's what you want.

The stock app notifies in-call now.
Sorry, i just realized that in no way solves your issue. It does, however, give you an option

Related/Unrelated 2.2 SMS issue.
I use the stock Sense SMS. When ever I get a text and if my SMS Application is open or I'm typing it doesn't notify me of a new text. No noise, blinking LED or system notification. It just marks the message as automatically read. All settings have been looked over, it's a bug, not a feature. Different app, same problem. I haven't checked to see if I get in-call notifications but I'm not getting in SMS notifications. I'm about to switch to Chomp or Handcent, although I like the Sense SMS app a lot. Kind of a bummer. Anyone else?

I use handcent as well and have the option checked off but still don't receive a sound notification while on the phone

I recommend a few let the handcent dev. Know, lets not flood him but there is a chance handcent developers do not know of this bug.

I read in their forums that other people have informed them of the issue. When they'll fix it is unknown.
