Is there a better way to handle the news?

I set up the news widget, and I really like the format and ect but kind of annoying how many stories stack up in there.

Is there a way to make it auto delete all stories over X hours/days old unless you favorite them or something like that?

Curious in general how you can edit/modify this thing as all I have been able to find is how often it updates and size of font so far.

I had this problem as well and have since switched over to FeedR. It doesn't necessarily do what you want, but all read stories can be "hidden" from your view, so you won't even see them.

Have you tried the new "News and Weather" app & widget that comes with 2.2? It's nice and configurable.

K that is cool, but how do you pick which sources for that widget? Like for instance if I never want to see stories from BBC News how do I take that off the list?

Re: Is there a better way to handle the news?

yeah, I am torn between those two options.
Just the News widget and being bombarted with tons of stories, but only from the sources I prefer or
News and Weather and just get the top 10 or so stories from each catagory, but having no control of what sources I get the stories from.
