Re: Remove OTA update
From my understanding (also a long time winmo user) you would have to have been rooted before you updated to Froyo in order to roll back.
All us non rooted Froyo users are waiting for the Devs out there to get us a new root option. If you think of it in winmo terms, you're waiting for someone to unlock the SPL so you can flash a new rom onto the device. That rom can be unrooted or rooted. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still new to Android too. Last edited by Bugsy; 08-06-2010 at 11:11 AM. |

Re: Remove OTA update
If you are having issues I would recommend wiping the phone clean and starting with a fresh 2.2 rather than a 2.2 that started off in 2.1 (basically do a factory reset via the SD & Phone Storage section in Settings)
I am rooted and did this I am happy as can be. Phone is snappier and more stable. You will not regret it. |
