ok....well been 6 days now....no task killer....and well....Im really havin no issues. My phone is actually runnin pretty snappy...things open quick, no data issues or blah blah blah blah that I hear out of a lot of other people lol. Im now convinced that android does handle memory much better with 2.2 than previous versions...I definately notice a difference in that, and well, these results may vary by user and no two users are exactly the same....so...Tickleme...you were right and I appreciate your inspiration to think outside the box and test this myself :)

I use Home++ for my home screen on OMJ's 2.2 and I have had no issues and I manually every so often do the task killer that is built into Home++ I average 20hours battery life with constant data usage.. somedays under 10 hours.

I've read that you don't need a task killer with froyo but I do get noticeably better battery life using task panel, for instance I sat my phone down and didn't touch it for 3 and a half hours and my battery went down to 80% with task panel killing the processes I'm not using and ignoring most of the others it barely moves on standby, like down to 95% after 3 hours.
