HTC Sync What am I doing wrong??

It connects to my PC just fine. However when I tried to flash back to the 1.47 ROM (for experimental purposes) I got the connection error. I do have the latest Sync version installed 2.0.40. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated

make sure go to setting>conect to pc>htc sync (selected)

uninstall HTC sync and restart pc then reinstall htc sync and try that it usually works out
