What is it you type into the browser address bar to get to settings?

Yes, another word is required. Like about:blank, about:config, aboutroxy, etc.

about:config just shows a blank page on my fresh 3.0.1.0 2.2 EVO rom

what did I win?

put 'about:debug' in address bar then go.(nothing with change or you will get blank screen)
then hit menu, then more, then settings
you will have more settings now, scroll down to "UAString"
Change to Desktop
