Froyo and 30 fps cap

I could swear that I read somewhere that froyo on the Evo would release the 30 fps cap. Ran fps2d and it still shows that it has the cap. Now, I know that there is a custom kernel that alleviated this cap - will this kernel work on froyo?

If you are rooted, yes.

What rom are you on? What root method, and what kernel are you referring too?

it will reduce the cam to 3mp but i really dont see a difference so maybe its just the menu options that change

Yes kernel for froyo suppose to reduce cam but I can't tell the difference so I'm happy with those results.
