flash the kernel with what? is it gana brake anything for me and is it revertible in case it does brake things for me?

i would rather wait until a working one come out 1st though

the only thing the kernal 'breaks' is that you lose the ablity to set your rear camera at 8mb. the highest setting is 3mb.

do a NAND backup (using recovery) before flashing the kernal in recovery(flash zip from sd card). that way if you dont like it, restore your backup from recovery.

I had 2.1 then used unrevoked, when it first came out temp root, then updated to new firmware on friday to install leaked froyo. this froyo has way too many bugs, at least my case. Do I have to be rooted to install or can i install the same way i installed the froyo. thanks in advance.

I used this, it has to be one of the most painless updates I've ever done. Absolutley lovely and rooted. I'm back to using the device in under 30 minutes.

Simply amazing.

Front and rear cameras work
Wimax is working, although I cannot tell since it's not available in my area, but i can get the functionality to work.
Al of my applications once restored using Titanium Backup work
Swype works

So far, no issues.

and if you need free wifi tether, just flash his kernal since the camera issue has been somewhat fixed. (phone says 3mb but takes pics in 8mb)

I am already fully rooted using the "after the OTA method" and then flashed a rooted stock rom of the last OTA. I have no idea if that means I'm currently odexed or deodexed. But I would like to flash to an already rooted stock 2.2...that will not screw anything up and make me loose root...can I simply flash to the rom in the beginning of this post?

The word odexed in the title of the rom is really throwing me off!! LOL
