Can't Connect USB or Access SD Card After Froyo Update
So, I decided, what the heck, I'll take the plunge and installed the rooted Stock ROM and radios exactly the same as I've always done. Good thing, right? Yeah, not so much...
After installing the ROM, I rebooted to recovery to install the radio. It installed clean, so it seemed, and then rebooted, so I rebooted again and ran the WiMax update. This is where things got ugly. First, the phone freezes and reboots every 30-40 seconds after boot up. Woops! So I think, no big deal, I'll connect by USB, boot to recovery, clear caches, reflash, and no problem, right? Not so much... After installing all three updates, the phone will no longer connect to my PC via USB. When I say that, I mean, it no longer prompts for Charge/SD-access/Tethering at all. I checked in Device Manager (I'm running Windows 7), and saw that my drivers were no longer installed. WTF, right? So I remove ALL of my disconnected and old devices (because this is a problem I've seen many times) thinking no big deal. But no. Still won't recognize it, and now it won't reinstall the drivers... HTC Sync is installed and so I reinstalled it. No go. Worse, I can't access my SD Card either. On reboot, it just says "SD Card Removed. Replace with a new one." I do so. Same thing. I booted to bootloader... clear storage. No improvement. I try Recovery, but Recovery is just get the /!\ prompt, and EVO-Recovery's "Recovery-Windows.bat" script won't recognize the device, because... yeah, no USB connectivity recognized. What do I do oh gurus of Android wisdom?! UPDATE: I know it's something on the USB side of things, because it won't even recharge now on outlet power. UPDATE 2: I found a solution here for the SD Card and USB issue... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243

He posted his solution in update 2, although it may not be valid anymore since you dug up a thread that was 6 months old. Why don't you explain your problem fully, including what you did to get the way you currently are.

Re: Can't Connect USB or Access SD Card After Froyo Update
These steps should work for your problem.
1. go to shipped-roms.com 2. click supersonic... 3. choose an RUU updater 4. run the RUU updater on your PC 5. Make sure it boots properly 6. reboot once or twice to be sure its OK 9. go to unrevoked and download the newest unrevoked for your computer (mac or pc) 10. run the unrevoked 11. you should be ok now. k
