I think that the one everyone is downloading now is in fact the final build.

EDIT: There seem to be one file that ends in .1 and another that ends in .3, so who knows

Works fine for me. HTC and Sprint REALLY need to jump on the ball here and get an update out. I just read on Engadget that Verizon is releasing Froyo for the original droid next week. I bet they beat HTC to the punch. So much for Sprints public release stating that they were the first to release 2.2 for their phone. Better hurry up or they'll be eating those words.

I wonder how rushed they feel now that Verizon made their announcement. Haha

well we already know that Sprint is not the first with Froyo because Nexus One got it awhile ago(right after Google I/O pretty much)

Re: HTC just posted this on Twitter about the update.zip

SORRY TO GET OFF SUBJECT

Bored: I agree with a LOVE that signature. I hate when people call retentions and threaten to cancel to get a better rate when they have no intentions of terminating service. I can't stand when people call and say "I work for UPS/Boeing, etc. I was told I get a discount." Remember all those dropped call people who would do it to get free minutes, then Sprint just terminated their accounts? I LOVED IT!

I've found out that if you call, tell the rep that you don't want to cancel and that you would like a better rate, they actually go further out of their way to help. I've explained that I love the service, I love the coverage, I love my phone, I've been with them for 14 years and I asked "Is there a better plan you can get me? Considering I've been with your company for so long?" I got a supervisor and I got the simply everything plan for $75 a month (not 100). I tried nicely to get out of the 10 per month Evo fee, didn't happen, so I let it go and never complained about it.

And we wonder why we're paying a $10 fee for the Evo?

Now, I am proud to be a software pirate I admit that I steal software of every kind. Yet I am a pirate with morals. If I pirated something, and I actually enjoy and use it, I'll delete it and go out and pay for it (I've actually done this over a dozen times). I try out everything that comes out that I can pirate. 95% of it is garbage and I delete it.
