android 2.2!!

My 4g is faster,bluetooth is great and the best part of 2.2 is I can watch tv shows on abc.com.... I dont need a ipad now..... I cant wait for the final version of the 3rd

So installed the update yesterday I'm not rooted or anyhting but I'm curious to know if I'll be able to install the "Official" update once it released on 8/3 over this leaked version? I really don't have any problems with the leaked one but I just noticed when I connect it to my computer via USB that my pc does not recognize it.

I am not 100% sure, however I have to believe they would up the version number if they make changes to the ROM. Maybe just a point upgrade so we should be able to upgrade without issue. BTW, I did not see much from HTC other than to say it "could" cause problems. They did not say "absolutely don't install. Hopefully they use the input from the people who have installed it here to make it better. And if they don't make any changes then you have the latest. My pc see's mine just fine. I know they have a version of htsync that is just for the evo...but I think the normal one should still work. I have the normal one installed at home and the evo version installed at work. Here is they where you can get the HTC sync version updated for the evo.

It will be a different version number..... I think they release this one for xda and the geeks... It seem they always fixing HTC problems.... Overall i love the pre release of froyo...

Anytime they throw out a release its going to be a different build # based off pure definiton.

Well, this afternoon after reading about all of the issues with this release here and on other forums I am glad my update did not work. I will stick with 2.1 until I cannot wait any longer or am forced to update.

I don't think there have been anymore issues than they would have if they had released it. Just think of how many programs and configurations they have to accommodate. A couple of my "minor" problems were because I had not updated my programs. Once done they were gone. I am loving the update.

i did a hard reset after i installed it, that seemed to clear up some issues i was having

and i do believe this is the final build, the one everyone else will be getting. any bug fixes that are found this weekend will be fixed via a MR later on.

I did the update last night. The problem I had was the keyboard lost the microphone and only showed EN or ES. If you unchecked the spanish keyboard in settings you just got a grayed out EN. Sooo.... I did a hard reset. That fixed the keyboard issue...
Now the only problem I am having is the android market. Apps like sling player are not available. Only the free version of Doc2go and when I go to downloads it only shows one program I payed for in the past. WIERD. And yes I logged into all my gmail accounts and each one as the main account. Bummed now. My only hope is for 8/3 I guess to fix this.
