If you didn't rename img36 file or whatever it is, it will always load that file when you hit recovery. That's what you mean right?

Re: android 2.2!!

Didn't read anywhere about renaming anything else before installing this update. If you can educate me I would greatly appreciate it!

I hold volume up and boot...then it goes to fastboot i open bootloader and then hboot tries to load pc36diag.zip and errors out. I go ahead down to recovery and phone reboots. It shows the evo + red ! and I hold the volume up+down and hit power button for it to show android system recovery. I scroll down to the 2nd on which is sdcard: update.zip and it tries to start loading and reboots phone.

Update: if it helps when I load into Android System Recovery whether I hit something or not after about 3-5 seconds it will just reboot the phone. If anyone can help I would appreciate.

Forget what I said, I didn't think this was the official release.

Re: android 2.2!!

Has anyone successfully saved an app to the sd card? When I go into the application menu, "save to sd" is greyed out. When I install from the market, it goes straight onto the phone memory and does not give me the option to save to sd.

I have been able to move apps to the SD card, the app has to be coded by the developer to allow for this though. Many apps still are not updated for that yet.
