Evo/Iphone Video Chat

so i didn't know this until yesterday, and chances are that some others on this forum don't know about this either. Apparently you can video call to iphone 4 to evo or vice virsa using the program fring! i thought you could only do EVO to EVO....

you just have to add your buddy and you can call away. i thought since the whole skype/fring ordeal that video chat was a bust......but its not!

so sorry if this is olds news for some of you, but for those of you who didn't know, hit THANKS!

How did you get it to work, cuz I couldn't w a buddy of mine. It just kept calling and going to the normal phone interface after the call was initiated through fring.

i just hit the video icon on the lower right hand corner and it worked for me.

is this from the main screen or when viewing a contact?

the other person needs to be running fring on their phone, and u add their fring ID to your account

its pretty cool. but i would only recommend doing a video chat with someone on fring if you're on wifi or 4g or really really good 3g. i did it yesterday with my friend and it was a little choppy. so just something to think about!

also i overheard my friend saying that you can use fring to video chat with peeps from other countries. i don't know if this is true, but if anyone can confirm, please say so.

Can you give me a step by step walk through on how to accomplish this with an iPhone. Also, any methods on video conferencing with g chat?
