Alarm Through Bluetooth?

I just got a bluetooth speaker and I was wondering if there was an alarm that would play music through bluetooth when it went off? I tried a few but none seemed to do it.

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

Nope. The next release is suppose to support better Blueteeth integration. I for one sure hope it does; the Bluetooth integration in WM6x/TP2 spoiled me.

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

Try AppAlarm... I use it to launch Pandora and Sirius/XM in the morning...

I'm sure if you try it this way it should work for you since your bypassing the alarm application and actually launching another app... You could have it run a specific media file which will then play through your media player as opposed to the built in alarm app...

You could get creative and set 2 alarms... One to turn on BT 5 minutes before the second one which would then launch your audible file of choice... Probably not required since you'll most likely have it on a charger over night but just some ideas as to what you could do with this app...

I can tell you as an alarm app, AppAlarm works flawlessly... Has not let me down yet...

Give it a try and let us know how it works with the BT...

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

I have tried with my Bluetooth headset - BlueAnt Q1 and it does not work with my Evo (settings set to do so) and it does work with my TP2.

So, any special setting?

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

Do the BlueAnt Q1 support A2DP... If not then you wont get any audio through them except phone...

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

It does support it. Co-worker has that headset and it works with her WM phone and it works on my TP2, just not on my Evo. I am looking at the T1 - it is suppose to support the transfer.

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

It will work with the TP2 even if it doesn't support A2DP...

With the Evo it needs to support A2DP...

I just looked it up and out of the box it does not support A2DP but there is a firmware update which adds it...

Check it out here:

Re: Alarm Through Bluetooth?

Ok. I just picked up a Blue Ant T1 and it does a bit more with Bluetooth announcement, but still not what I am wanting. As a note, my Evo does have a check box for media streaming via Bluetooth...
