so this is what i do. i have an app called teslaled (download from the market - its free) you can turn on the led. then go to your camera and it will still be on. there you go!

I use LED Desire Light its available in the market it also let's you choose and set the widget between four different brightness and there is a big difference between the brightest and the default settings check it out.
