Pairing EVO via bluetooh

Ok i got a new sony vio laptop, windows 7 64bit, and has bluetooth on it. so i turn on the bluetooth on the computer and then turn on bluetooth on the evo and nothing.

i then turn on the wifi and it detects my networks and logs on but i cant get the computer to see the phone via bluetooth ( i have bluetooth on )

Any magic tricks i need to do to get this to work.

menu>settings>wireless and networks>bluetooth settings> check the box to make discoverable.

also to make it easy imo use bluetooth file transfer app

Re: Pairing EVO via bluetooh

I have had no problem with this; my problem though has been with Bluetooth and PDANet. Being unhappy with the Bluetooth implimentation with Android, I now use the cable; with the TP2 it was only Bluetooth for me.

Re: Pairing EVO via bluetooh

I tried using bluetooth with my device. Geez-a-lou what a pain in the neck. I could see the device from my desktop, my device could NOT see my desktop, they wouldn't pair and I finally gave up.

now I use Droid Explorer.

Did you make your laptop "Discoverable" to the Evo? Try that and see if that helps. Your trying to connect your Evo to the PC...for the PC to connect it needs to know what to look for...and your PC might find the Evo..but not the other way around.
