MMS & Froyo

Just to let the young members of the community aware that when the ROM chef perfect the 2.2 build understand that there will still need to be some work on the MMS portion of the system due to the fact that Sprint servers will not be reconizing the system due to the WAP protocol. just like we had with the 6.5 windows era the madness but we had a fix and it was Arcsoft, so if the developers can come up with a program that ties into the core of the system like the MMs app from Sprint ( and yes it is an app).
To all that will start and asked for this and that to be implemented in the ROMs the only advise I can give is either learn a kitchen or look at the ROMs that you will be using. There are 2 types of chefs (more like 2 catergory)
1. are you moders, custom builders with alot of personal flavor in there.
these ROMs are great and does not look like nothing else, they will have all the tweaks and special fixes but it will be to the chef's liking
2. the stock like moders that will leave it up to you to personalize your phone. these chefs come in and always asked question like what, who where this will work better, faster if the majority does not want this ot that but as a user you must also ask a question as if this was taken out will it hurt if I put it back in or stop another program. 99% of these chefs remove bloatware but will not remove if it scarfice the operation of the device.
That being said if we as a community will intervien on chefs threads with a problem, a tried fix and hopefully recieve or provide a solution so every one can benefit from it, including myself; cause I /we are always learning!!

Re: MMS & Froyo

I'm confused because MMS works fine in Cyanogen which is 2.2.

Ditto on that... Whatever he did, everyone else needs to do. Simple enough, no?

I never had the TP2 so I couldn't say but it may be different with Android. Best thing to do is wait and see..

Re: MMS & Froyo

The first few nightlys didnt have MMS totaly working with Cyanogen. They just got MMS working I am not exactly sure when but I know that there was an issue but it has since been resolved. The issue was that MMS couldnt be sent but there was no trouble sending it.

I believe MMS was fixed on the 07/23 nightly and has worked for me since and also works with RC1.

yeah froyo with sense and without sense both have working MMS now so I believe the issue is moot.
