Screen Freeze-ups?

Every once in a while my screen freezes up,for example when I answer a phone call I cant drag down to unlock the phone. Also a couple of times the Home screen frooze, so that if I pressed any of the widget icons nothing happens, I was able to operate the app load and then when I go back Home it was working again.

Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Screen Freeze-ups?

Sounds like a app that was installed...that eating up CPU cycles....causing the phone to stop responding for a bit. Try removing some apps that you've installed since noticing the issue...then see if that helps...worst case...Hard Reset the phone and see if that helps...

Only time I notice my EVO really lag up is during a new app download/install..

Hasn't anyone ever told you, "dont EVER do the OTA updates?"

There are a few threads on this already but it always boils down to being an app try uninstalling any recently installed apps and see if that fixes it. oh and by the way the Windows fans are watching us so from now on anytime your having a problem with your Evo describe the problem by reversing the issues....lol......(Example) Man I installed a few apps and my phone just got incredibly fast....jk

im aware about "not doing the OTA updates" my lil bro was usin my phone and just did it so im sure u get the picture from there.

was not an app .. i didnt root it .. and all apps were uninstalled (that could be)

it was weird i couldent use the phone while it was setting on a desk or what not but as soon as i picked the phone up the screen started to respond. seemed like a hardware or grounding issue. so they sent me a new one wich will be delivered today

That definitely sounds like a grounding issue. You need to take it in for servicing.
