Anyone else seen this bogus press release from Sprint about "new" accessoris?

I kept seeing all these newswires and blogs picking up the same information, that Sprint released "new" accessories. I got excited and thought, great, finally, the charging case. Instead, what Sprint's PR machine did was issue a press release about "new" accessoires. The problem is, these are the SAME accessories, they've been selling since day one. There's NOTHING new in them.

What I find insulting is all of us who've been waiting for something useful to come out are duped into thinking that they're finally releasing what we've been waiting for only to find out, nope, just Sprint's bogus PR hype.

Anyone else seen these "new" accessories postings around the intrawebs?

Oh, had to add what they're selling the 16Gb card for:

16 GB memory card with pocket-sized SanDisk MobileMate Micro card USB reader for convenient connection to a PC: $99.99 (plus tax)

Considering you can pick it up the 32Gb card today from Verizon for $49.99 (free shipping), not exactly sure who they're trying to fool.

Um....i didn't see anything about it saying new as in just released......or even insinuating "new"...did I miss something?

They're "issuing" a press release about already available products almost a month-and-a-half after the device was released. All the newswires I'm seeing who've picked up this story are claiming these are "new" accessories that have "just been released". If you issue a press release about products even though they've been available for over a month, then others are going to assume that these are new. They're being reported as "new" products "just released". It's just shoddy PR work to tell people that you've got "accessories" after the fact and sit back and let everyone report them as "new" when in fact they've been available for quite some time.

Well, I have a receipt as do a lot of others with the $49.99 (free shipping) deal. Let's see if they honor it.

it was an error. it said 79.99 for a while too. i wonder if theyre gonna honor the sales made this morning for 49.99?

Well, they advertised it. Gave me and a lot of others sales receipts for $49.99 (free shipping) if they don't honor it at that price, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of chargebacks.

i thought the 32gb card was $100 at verizon (marked down from 150).
