It's an app to backup other apps, correct? I prefer Titanium Backup. It's in the Android Market.

I dont really get the excitement about what can be called an alpha build. There is even a disclaimer "to not bitch about the problems".

Not at all flaming, but what is the point then?

Not sure how someone can answer that for you. For one its froyo and two its cyanogen.

This "alpha" build is more stable then many developers completed builds. An elite perfectionist may call an item with a minuscule flaw an alpha just to protect his image, after all.

Look at who's calling it an alpha, and judge from there. It does have a few items that need worked on, camera being one, but it is still a very stable rom.
