Missed message indicator

How long is the green light supposed to flash after getting a message on the EVO. Mine flashes about 2 minutes then disappears even when I don't look at the message. Any help? Thanks

Thought I read that 5 minutes is how long the LED notifications flash. Not exactly sure, will take a loot around for it. But I do notice they disappear after a short time.
