Interesting find about the GPS/Reboot issue

I have my phone bone stock with no rooting. Yes I have the OTA update.
Yesterday, I started getting the issue with the phone rebooting every time I started a GPS type app. The Icon lit up, and the phone rebooted 100% consistently. Different apps, all rebooted the phone 100% of the time.

I reformatted and blanked the phone – still rebooted
I turned off backround updates - still rebooted
I reformatted the DS card – still rebooted
I removed the SD card – still rebooted.
Then.. After total frustration, I took a spare battery I had, popped it in. ZERO REBOOTS!

The stock battery was causing the issue. I was able to reproduce it 100%. No error or other warnings. They battery was fully charged.

I cleaned the battery contacts and the issue went away. Totally bazaar, practically unbelievable, considering everything else ran perfect.

Anyway.. my 2 cents. Maybe this can help some people.

Re: Interesting find about the GPS/Reboot issue

Glad this worked (or whatever actually fixed it) for you.

However, this did not work for my wife's phone.

Re: Interesting find about the GPS/Reboot issue

I highly doubt it was the battery...lol it doesn't cause you phone to reboot when you do certain things it just not possible the dont exchange information between the battery and the phone like that. Now if it had a short it might but it would do it randomly and not during certain opening of programs.
