i think all the smart people use something other than their phone to shoot video.
my 2 yr old $200 canon powershot takes better video and AUDIO than my phone...

Well I'm asking for at least the quality of audio that a basic point and shoot camera is able to achieve.
I think something at least on par with the video quality would be acceptable. Honestly with all the tweaks applied to windows phones I am surprised they haven't found a solution to adding at least 16 bit quality mono to an android phone. If I knew how to do it I would.
