The security systems on these demo units I have pictured do auto retract, so did the ones at two other stores I visited.

Again I don't know how people are adding "dropping the phones" to creating this "slit".. it has NOTHING to do with dropping it.

It is caused by the simple pressing of the power button, eventually the front area will develop a slit/crack, since it is thin, the power button on most don't have the tactile feel and the area is not supported since the speaker area is indented..
