Evo bugging out big time.

Please don't ask me to post this in the OTA thread, no one has been on that thread in a while, thank you. After the OTA update my texting was bugging out big time. Nothing worked so I factory reset it in hopes of it working, for two days now everything has been cool, but now it is bugging out again. Any thoughts?

Mainly the keyboard, when I press on the keys it starts closing the keyboard and reopening it and pushing other keys that I didn't.

Re: Evo bugging out big time.

have any apps installed? could very well be apps clashing with your keyboard. Try wiping, not installing anything for a couple days and see how it goes.

Re: Evo bugging out big time.

A friend of mines evo was doing the same thing. I thought she was going crazy at first until I saw it with my own two eyes. I told her to do a hard reset to see if it changes anything.

Re: Evo bugging out big time.

Yes, I did a hard reset and nothing! Still have the same problem but downloading handcent from the market seems to fix the problem for now... that OTA did indeed put a toll on our EVOS.. it was the first time that I got pissed at my phone and wanted to throw it

Re: Evo bugging out big time.

Confirmed. Mine was doing this also with the OTA update (rooted one). Had to revert back to fix. There is a bounty over at XDA atm for a "properly" rooted OTA. Just wait for that.

edit: Ya, I wanted to throw mine too. But that's like throwing $550, which I am not about to.
