EVO (Android) Noob. Need Some Help

Hello everyone.

Need some help, got some questions regarding Android. I've been using WinMo phones for the last 5-6 years and have been a loyal user and visitor of PPCG for about 2 years now. So, to the point. I just switched to an HTC EVO about 2 weeks ago. I have rooted it, I have flashed and rom and well, I'm becoming very comfortable with the android system (compared with the winmo one). But I have a few questions, and was wondering if you "android"

guys could help me.

Let's say I want to upgrade or switch my rom (example: From OMJ 1.4 to 1.6) am guessing I'm going to loose all of the apps I have installed, right? How do I back them up and restore them? What If I want to switch form, let's say Fresh's to Damage's Rom?

Help an android noob with these questions

Apps for backup would be here in the Apps forum. When you change ROMs you will lose everything that isn't backed up. You should wipe before you switch ROMs, most chefs give instructions on what they suggest you do in their respective threads. Hope that helps
