i did make a few apps for the Palm Pre, so this shouldn't be to hard just to learn to compile. I'm going to have to wait til i have some free time cuz my gf is sick right now and i need to take care of her

I thought I was crazy.. but I can't deal with a keyboard without arrow keys. I really wish swype had em. How do you correct a character in a word when you have sausage fingers!

I modified the q-ime version and made the keys a darker grey when pressed rather than red. Here is the signed apk for those interested. I made no functional changes, so it's exactly the same except the red has been changed to grey.

so since so many wonderful people are modding it anyone want to make a black keyboard with gray keys when pressed?

I made one, but the letters were black too which made this blend in with the black background until you pressed them (red). The background change is pretty easy as I am just changing the key background color in Photoshop. I am not sure where to change the color for the letters. I am sure someone here will figure it out though.

I would like the KB with a black/dark grey background, grey/black keys, red when pressed... or even blue.

Swype does have the arrow keys in an 'editing menu'. Just swype from the 'swype button' in the lower left corner of swype kb to the SYM key and the KB changes to the menu with arrows and other options (backwards delete, forward delete...)
