Wierd Text Message Problem - Page 2

Yeah it has really made me upset with my EVO... I thought this device was perfect despite the grounding issue... I dont care about the grounding issue... Ill take it over inaccuracy... also seems to get more sluggish at times... definitely way too sensitive now... if I stare at a contact too hard... it considers that contact and opens the user!! ( kidding )

I have noticed that I make tons more keyboard errors since the OTA and lord knows the Evo text correction can leave you with some interesting messages....

+1. It seems to be a bit more sensitive so you have to lift your fingers quit a bit when typing. Otherwise a small brush on one letter you didn't intend to press and it will select it.

Quick question, for the people that this is happening to, did you guys updated the 28th or you guys waited for HTC to put it back up the 29th? I updated the 28th, and this is also happenning to me, so maybe the re-released update doesnt have that.

mine opens on a different text thread sometimes since day one.

If you're having this problem, try using handcent sms until we can root again or Sprint releases froyo.

Guess its a text messaging app problem rather than a screen issue.

ya i have been having the same problem when i text someone it picks the wrong thread.

haha TRUE!

Good thing we have root for the OTA and NOW i can flash another ROM and don't have to worry about this problem anymore!

I've had this happen also using the full OTA ROM image and the Android kitchen from dsixda. What works for me is making sure I fully press* the recipient's name and it will open properly.

Edit: *meaning not just a tap. I hold it down until the name highlights, then release.
