Random no connection on 3G

I searched first... Only found stuff regarding TouchPro and TP2

I'm noticing on the Evo that while using K9 to check my Yahoo mail, I keep getting dropped connection that can only be restarted by either (sometimes) going into Airplan mode and out again. Or soft-resetting the phone.

Anyone else getting this issue at random.

I'm using 3G not 4G in NYC.

Re: Random no connection on 3G

Have you turned off the Data always on setting?

If you mean the Enable always-on mobile data (which I'm quite impressed they actually hyphenated the word, someone used a spellcheck), then, yes, that's checked.

What I have done recently is changed my home and roaming network setting to EVRC-B from what they originally were. However, I was having the random no connection issue before that.

Re: Random no connection on 3G

I asked that because mine is unchecked to turn off Always on mobile data, (to save battery life) and I get random lost connection. It usually works just fine, but sometimes I go to check something and there is no 3G connection.

Re: Random no connection on 3G

I was having random drops also. I was using switch pro widget and used the 2g/3g button on it to turn the 3g on (the button is highlighted) and I havent had random drops yet. very wierd I dont think it has to do with it but I dont know...
