Update OTA in a single thread?

HEY MODS!

um is there anyway to not have every post on the first 2 pages be about the update that was released today... perhaps one merged thread listing all the issues or strange occurrences?

i could make another thread asking people not to ask about consolidating the OTA threads if you'd like...

Why? so you can see the other 500 threads about issues people had before the update? current and future get priority over past!

This update is causing issues for many people and it also has many hidden changes. Let the forum be chaotic for a day or two. Deal with it?

There should have been a thread asking people not to do the OTA until the developers had a chance to examine it, though that should have been obvious (but clearly isn't)

We in the esteemed Mod and Admin groups have discussed the proposed cleaning up of said threads and it has been deemed important and the plan has been put into effect. We call it "Shock and Awe, Too Bad About the OTA Update." Thanks for the great idea!

Since they have all been merged, and this thread isn't really geared toward the OTA thread but more toward the lack of aforementioned thread, which is actually now in existance, I am going to close this one down.

But for everyone who had the bright idea of having one consolidated thread:
