In all my experience N devices have had higher throughput at further ranges than G devices. I would assume this is because N has support for different antenna configurations, including MIMO support.

Test it yourself post numbers if possible everyone is arguing someone said. Test show numbers prove your pint someone said is not proof.

Im not sure about expert. I mean, he was citing wikipedia. I would like to see him provide some concrete evidence that it isn't extending range.
