Re: htc update killed my fon

Yea guys, this is not the only person that has reported this.

When you update, it will say your phone has been updated. BUT, if you go into HTC software upgrade from the system upgrade section of your phone....the phone will say there is an upgrade available. (Even though it is the same one.) NOW, if you upgrade again, you will have a bricked phone.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO UPGRADE AGAIN ONCE YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE SO.

I put it in caps that way people see it.

Seriously? How on earth can an OTA do that?

Thanks
bricked mine as well.
I didn't go into the updates section to update twice. After the first update I got an error/corrupted msg asking to reinstall. Then the bricking ensued. So sad.

That is what I am trying to figure out. I can start a thread warning others.

I just thought many would not try to update again even though they just did. But I can see it leading to problems.

Re: htc update killed my fon

Glad to have read this. Any ideas on what actually got upgraded. My camera looks better indoors. Was hoping for HTC audio booster.
