EVO camera flash. Can I make it flash for a second BEFORE taking the picture?

Hey, so most of the picture taking I do takes place at night and I noticed on my GFs blackberry, it'll put the flash on for a second or two before the picture is taken so it can light up and focus on what you are about to take a picture of, Mine just flashes right when I press the shutter button, anyone know how to turn the flash on so I can see what I'm about to take a pic of?

Its called pre-flash focusing and no, the evo cant do it. I really hope HTC issues patches to make this camera better. Its lacking.

actually, you can use "led desire" off the apps market and just manually turn it on. and it works for video too

I use an app called led light. U can set it so it uses the g sensor to cut on and off. Shake once, press focus, take pic. There are apps that make use of the led brightness better, but none work with the gsens yet.
