Just curious, does your home made antena give you better coverage, the same or less...?

It's at least the same, maybe a little better...it works is all I can really say. But I am ordering a replacement from China - this should hold me over as long as the wife doesn't go looking for her jewelry....

Re: Updated prl now no airave

I was first reading this thread and was thinking "I update mine to 60667 and I'm good on my Airave, this guy had to have done something else" and then I get down the page and see that you found that it was the Airave all along. Good to hear you at least know what was causing the problems and I am impressed by your creativity in temporarily fixing it.

Nice job and I love the pic!

Re: Updated prl now no airave

Yeah this board was helpful...coming from WM, I guess I am used to the issues being related to the phone. Once the responses (and previous searches) suggested that it was not, I started looking at the airave.

And I had tried a number of things from my box of left over electrical junk, even ran to Sprint, RS and Walmart to look for an antenna or a product I could cannibalize one from. The airave sits on my wife's nightstand....so does most of her jewelry. I am still not sure what possessed me to stick that in there.

And thanks, the pic, of course, was taken with the EVO.

I have this issue now too, using PRL 667. My other EVO isn't even connecting to the AIRAVE.

I really don't think it was the prl...reset your airave. Also sometimes when I lose the airave it helps to put the phone right next to it to regain the signal. HTH

Re: Updated prl now no airave

Holy Thread Revival!

I manually updated my Epic's PRL today from 60669 to 60674, and Cannot connect to my Airave anymore.

I reset it multiple times and have even gone back to 60669 on my Epic and it still won't connect??? I Just reset it, waited about 30 minutes to get the Mobile light solid green.

I will see 3G in the Epics notification bar. when I try to use the browser or speedtest app, the 3g symbol goes away and it says I have no connection??

Edit: Was finally able to do a speedtest and it got 125 kbs/sec, tried again and lost the 3g symbols.
