Buying Evo from Bestbuy, $199 no matter what!!!

I see best buy has some evos in. I added to my cart, tax, shipping ect., comes out to 230ish. But, I'm not up for my 150 rebate until sept. So, if I buy it from bb at 230, whats the catch? How will bb make me pay full price? Or, what will happen if I buy the phone from bb @199 even though i';m not up for my 150 rebate? But, bb is letting me do this from their site? Just asking.

KK

Anyone? Has anyone went through this from the BB site? I can't imagine them letting me get the phone for 230, when I'm not up for my full 150 credit plus rebate. How do they catch this and make you pay full price?

when you get further into the purchase they ask for your ss# etc and they link your sprint acct to it

Actually, if they're asking for your SSN and such, they're likely trying to set up a new account/line for you, which would make it $199. If they were going to link to an existing account, they would just ask for your phone # and pin # like they do in-store.

Yeah I'm sure you can only get the phone at that price either upgrading OR getting a new 2 yr contract on a new line

Re: Buying Evo from Bestbuy, $199 no matter what!!!

Well I went as far as putting in my credit card number and thats where I stopped. I said I was an existing customer and added the 10 4g charge to my line. But when I got to the cc part, I said, nah, I can wait it out a few more months. But, I just didn't understand how they linked to my sprint account.

Re: Buying Evo from Bestbuy, $199 no matter what!!!

they will ask for your info after your payment info ...this info includes the SSN. There is a statement in fine print that says the SSN for new customers is for credit the SSN for upgrades is for identification purposes. So I would guess after that screen you'll get a message about not being eligible if you're not.
