This happens when I use my generic third party car+wall charger with the stock data/charging cable. My phone becomes unresponsive, as though it is trying to figure out what type of connection has been made.
Works like a charm with stock charger/cable and my name branded charger/cable combos.

Its the charger.... I used a USB plug adapter and there were issues. The one in the box should work.
