Yeah I think the big drain is my gba emulator

I think one of the most important "tweaks" is to make sure your phone is actually sleeping.

If you go Menu...Settings...About Phone....Battery and then compare your Up Time to your Awake Time. There should be a difference.

My current snap shot is Uptime 151:32:17
My current Awake time: 28:43:17

I am not claiming this to be without a charge. It's just since a reset.

My times are consistently the same. I don't think the phone ever sleeps. What am I doing wrong?

ZOMFG I just got 365 days and still counting. I got an extra touch pro 2 over a year ago and charged it. I just put the battery back in and it works it has 40% battery left. Shazizle mazizle, best battery life ever!

If your times are consistently the same your battery is not gonna last. There is an app you can download called Spare Parts, Open that app and goto Battery History. In the first drop down window, change it to "partial Wake usage". This will show you what is preventing your device from sleeping. Find the culprit and then figure out how to disable it. <-- This will sove your battery woes!!

The key is just making sure the phone sleeps when you have it off. Unless your purposely running programs like a Pandora or maps and whatnot. I found certain apps will keep your phone running when the screen is off (I know, I'm captain obvious..). This is why the oft despised ATK is actually useful to shut down programs since the Android people don't believe in "Exit" buttons for the most part. I can run this phone for perhaps 2 days with my usage pattern and not sacrifice much.

Awesome, thanks for the tip!

It's showing that the Calendar process is taking up all my cpu time under partial wake usage. I'm going to try to get rid of the HTC calendar widget and see if that makes a difference.

I found that stopping the calendar from syncing with facebook helped. I now have it set to just sync with google.
