Re: EVO running hot or warm

My HTC phones always seem to run warm but never any overheating or issues from it. I think its just normal.

Mine doesn't even get warm running the HotSpot feeding the Roku box for NetFlix for several hours.

it did deform and would no longer sit flush while using it, so i had to do the napkin/post-it note fix to keep it from popping off. who the hell designed such a low quality back cover?

Re: EVO running hot or warm

I installed this audio boost program on my phone before that was meant for rooted device and used unrevoked to run it. Started playing with that program tried a few selections. After that my phone started getting warm even when I had it just sitting on my desk. I had to do a factory restore. I haven't used that program since and have not had any issue of my phone becoming warm. So maybe try a factory reset and don't install anything and see how that goes.

Re: EVO running hot or warm

Today I was surprised to see my EVO get really warm while charging in the car watching the world cup and realized that the kickstand was really the warmest point and was acting as a heat sink dissipating the heat off the unit.

Re: EVO running hot or warm

Mine overheats. To the point it wont even take a charge. And I also carry a TP1 around, so I know hot. And that is with it doing nothing for hours. I also can't get it to cool down as fast as the tp1.
