Re: EVO running hot or warm
I spend alot of time away from home, so me and my girl are always on the phone. One time we talked for exactly 5 hours straight and it didn't over heat at all. Now don't get me wrong, I am sure if the phone is plugged in as well as having somes sort of case protecting the phone thus not allowing the air to actually get to the back of the phone then it is very possible and probably quite common for it to get extra hot. But regardless of how hot yours got I can guarantee it aint tp1 hot thats why most probably wont complain.

Re: EVO running hot or warm
Have you check to see if any process are running continuously? What are you doing on the phone when it is getting hot?

Re: EVO running hot or warm
Just keep in mind that it getting warm is normal, if its hot to the touch then thats problem. Remember it also depends on what you are doing and if the phone is plugged in while you are doing it then its even worse.

Re: EVO running hot or warm
It definitely is not hot to the touch, just seems warmer than normal. Neuteboomt, I was watching sprint TV over 4G which was very clear BTW.

Re: EVO running hot or warm
it's weird that it physically feels hotter than my oc'ed droid but temp monitor says the batter never gets higher than 44 C. my droid has gone up to 48 during long gaming sessions.
could be the metal on the droid dissipates the heat better where as the plastic holds on to the heat more. i dunno about thermal properties of each material so it's just a guess. |

Re: EVO running hot or warm
I am a former TP1 and current TP2 user...and I can tell you it's normal. If your talking with the phone plugged in to the wall it will get hot, playing games or using apps that require cpu/gpu power will also make it hot. This is all normal with these phones. Now if your back battery door starts to melt and deform...something is wrong...but I highly doubt that will ever happen.
