I think the discount is only for new customers though.
Not for new customers only...Ive been a customer for about 5 years now and they offered me wifi hot spot for $19.99 instead of $29.99..They added 100 minutes to my account(not much but hey its something) and Also lowered my monthly premium by $20.00..Then added the $10 evo fee..In the end i have a bill with 100 extra minutes and $10 cheaper.

Make sure you dial 877 instead of 800...

Re: Does your Google I/O EVO phone still working as of 6/20?

Just came back from sprint store, the rep told me after checking the phone, that I would need to contact google to find out why it's still connected, it's on a google account, no cost to me but maybe for google.

At least with that number you are instantly connected to someone, although I have never called Telesales so I wouldn't really know. I'm surprised that they haven't shut it off yet.

Really? Damn when I called to activate mine they didn't offer me anything. Maybe I should have asked, all well.

Re: Does your Google I/O EVO phone still working as of 6/20?

Mine still works. Let's see how long it lasts.

On a different note, I ended up selling my retail Evo today since I didn't have any use for two. I had been using the retail one this whole time which is version 0003. When I switched to my Google I/O phone, version 0002, I noticed it was much smoother for some reason. Same exact software loaded since I transferred the backup from my retail Evo to the Google I/O phone. Very strange...wonder why it would make a different?

That would be sweet, Wouldn't it be funny if sprint got google caught up in a 2 year contract for the I/O phones and they couldn't cancel without ETF's...........
