How to Remove a Favorite Contact?

I accidently added a person to the Favorite Contacts Widget and now I cannot remove that person from the widget! How do I do this?

I went into the contact and unchecked "Favorites" from all of the listed items I could uncheck it from. I thought this would work but the contact remains on the widget, but now it only prompts me for a default action (call, e-mail, etc.) The contact consists of two e-mails, a phone number, and facebook link. I suspect the facebook linkage has something to do with it but I am stuck at this point.

PLEASE HELP! I hate being this much of an android noob.
