Amon RA Recovery on the Evo?

Hey Everyone,

I'm a first time Android User, and just learning the ropes. So far I'm in love with Android! One thing I've been trying to play with is the Recovery Mode.

At first I flashed Clockworks recovery, but actually found it to be limited, and missing features from the stock recovery, and didn't like the fact that CW's nand backups weren't backwards compatible with the stock nand backups, so I went back to stock. Since then I've been looking for another recovery mode. I noticed in someones signature that they had flashed Amon RA Recovery onto the Evo. I googled it, and was fairly impressed with the features. I looked for it in the Evo forums, but have not found any reports or posts about it being flashed to the Evo...

If it's possible, what version should I use, and where can I get it? How do I go about flashing it?

It turns out I actually had that recovery flashed allready. Its the one I used when i did the nand unlock. I guess it's not that much different from the stock.

from what I understand its an Engineering recovery. And yeah, its the one in the NAND unlock thread on XDA

when I did my NAND unlock, I did a NAND backup with clockworkmod and then followed the instructions. Was pretty upset that the backup I used wouldnt restore with the new recovery, so I re-flashed clockwork as perm recovery for me

contemplating going back but since theres not much need for me at the moment, I've not bothered yet.

My tutorial shows you how to load it. It's under the ****Unlocking NAND Protection**** Section.
It uses Amon RA, but you rename recovery to make the typing easier.
