Well I made the plunge
Well...I went to Ratshack and got my name on the waiting list of like 2 for the EVO they gave me a Hero to use for 30 days... see ya later US Smelular (they aren't bad but they are so much more expensive and no 3G but the service has never let me down)
The 3G and the hero already impress me more then my crippled TP2 and 1X to top it off radioshack is buying my tp2 for 92 dollars and my old TP1 for 40 so I'm pretty happy  Even got the wife to finally get rid of that samsung delve and go to the EVO also...

I hope so the instore model was insanely fast compared to my tp2 and just seemed so awesome the onscreen keyboard wasnt bad they had some program that you click and drag to your next letter which was slick

Evo is an awesome phone. I came from a Touch Pro 1. Night and day. The EVO does things when you ask it too without delay. Once you experience this you will never look back.

wow they gave you a loaner hero? that's awesome service right there, didn't know the shack had that in them. how does the hero compare to the evo you used in store in terms of performance?

Congrats! If I would have known that RS bought phones, I would have sold them Both my TP 1's and my Palm Pre. But it sounds like you have a killer RS there willing to take care of ya. Here, RS is willing to rape you for 10 bucks for a 3.5mm Patch cord.....

That keyboard you saw was swype. You can download the beta at beta.swype.com I'm using it for a day now and it is pretty nice.
Yes radio shack buys phones but you can easily get more on ebay I just sold my pre for $155 with touchstone on ebay. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

Welcome.
If you can, I would strongly suggest not selling your TP2 to them. I just sold mine on eBay for $275.
