Question How about a this feature...

When you turn off your screen it toggles off your wifi and 4g. Would that be hard to implement? I keep finding my self turning off the phone and leaving either one or both of those running. Think that might help lower batter consumption?

Re: How about a this feature...

It already has this feature for wifi. By default your wifi will turn off within 15 minutes of shutting off the screen.

Re: How about a this feature...

it would probably drain the battery more if you kept enabling/disabling 4g every time you turned on/off your display

I have to agree on this...
when you turn on 4g, it seems to suck a chunk of the battery every time...while it is on, it takes less battery it seems at least for me...i can get a full day charge with 4g on (i'm in philadelphia, pa btw) with mild to moderate use.

Re: How about a this feature...

I don't really have issues with battery drain when my phone is sitting idle with the screen off. The radios will automatically go to sleep unless you have auto syncing or some other background activity going on. Also, I like to stream and listen to music when my screen is off, so that would defeat the purpose.

If you are noticing significant battery drain while the phone just sits, disable or limit auto-syncing and consider turning off enable always on data.
