Transfer all information from Stock SD card to other SD card?

I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered, I did search but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. 2 part question... 1. I'm coming from windows mobile and in winmo, plugging the phone into the computer will show the phone's memory and the SD card memory separately. Plugging in my EVO doesn't show these options. Question is, how would I go about making sure everything from my stock SD card gets transferred to my other SD card? Will my installed programs or my phone layout/settings be affected by the new SD card?

Second Question.... I'm not going to a larger capacity, I've got an 8GB class 6 lying around, will I gain anything by going from the stock card class 2 to class 6? Thanks in advance, and again, I apologize if this is a double post.

Re: Transfer all information from Stock SD card to other SD card?

First all your apps are stored on the phones memory. You have to hack store apps on a SD

If you copy the contents of one card to another everything should be ok. It's always good to do a back up first.

I switched from a Class4 from the Class2 and I think it loads faster but I could just be in my head

When you connect the phone to a PC it will only show the SD card. It was weird for me to coming from the WinMo but I'm loving it so far!

Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up! I'm gonna format my old card and give it a shot Can't hurt and hopefully my HD videos look better...
