Way to play .avi without converting to mp4 on EVO

Was wondering anyone know of any players out there that will do this on android, been looking for something similar to coreplayer, closest I came was the yzplayer but still doesn't work for .avi thanks.

I was coming in here to suggest that. I'll repost that over here:

I found a video app that can actually play divx encoded avi's smoothly. This one is playing at a full 24 frames per second and looks good.

It called RockPlayerBase and is currently in a closed beta. Here is a download of the app:

You will need to select allow non-market apps in settings to install it.

sheesh its about time for an avi player.
now only if i can just get es file explorer to auto open rockplayer for my media files. that would be great.
